ENAV wins an international tender in Uganda for the provision of the flight inspections services

Garbini :"We won the challenge. Now we are among the first but we have to stay there"

Rome, May 15, 2014 - ENAV continues the consolidation into foreign markets, winning the tender held by the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority for the supply, for the next two years of the flight inspection and calibration of systems and aids to air navigation.

The ENAV Flight Inspections Service carries out a continuous monitoring of radioassistances as Radar, ILS (precision landing systems), air navigation aids (VOR, DME), which provide correct indications to the aircraft during takeoff, landing and navigation.

ENAV Flight Inspection Unit plays the activities through its own fleet of brand new aircraft , performing more than 2,000 flight hours per year. These aircraft, specially equipped, represent the most advanced systems in the world for the certification of air navigation aids.

"This order - commented the CEO of ENAV Massimo Garbini - is yet another demonstration of our value in the international arena. I would say that the commercial challenge was won. Now comes the hard part. ENAV in the world is no longer a startup but one of the strongest players and now we have to be good to stay there."
