Rome, 16 October 2026 – ENAV announces that the issues affecting the nationwide data transmission network supporting air traffic control services, which had led to a temporary reduction in operational capacity within Italian airspace, have been resolved.
Following technical interventions carried out in close coordination with its service providers, the primary data transmission network has been fully restored, enabling ENAV to return to 100% of its air traffic management capacity.
As a result, the capacity restrictions introduced in the early hours of the morning have been lifted, and air traffic is progressively returning to normal across Italian airspace.
Throughout the disruption, ENAV ensured the continuity of air traffic control services through the activation of alternative data transmission systems, maintaining the highest operational safety standards at all times.
