ALL EQUIPMENT OPERATING NORMALLY. FLIGHT SAFETY ENSURED THROUGH ALTERNATIVE SATELLITE NETWORK

ENAV is working to restore the full functionality of the data transmission network. All ENAV equipment and systems are operating normally and have shown no anomalies. Safe flight operations are currently being ensured through the secondary satellite network, with more than 50% of flights now being accommodated, an increase compared to less than an hour ago.

While the activation of this backup system ensures the continuity of air traffic control services and maintains the highest safety standards, it does not allow for the management of 100% of air traffic, making a temporary reduction in operational capacity necessary.

ENAV is working closely and continuously with its external service providers, starting with TIM, which is responsible for the management and maintenance of the data network, to identify and resolve the anomalies that have led to the current situation.

The priority is to restore full operational capacity as quickly as possible.
