ENAV awarded by CEOforLIFE

Recognized commitment to creating an inclusive organizational culture

Paolo Simioni, ENAV CEO

Rome, October 10, 2022 – The Lundbeck Awards were presented today at the LUISS Guido Carli University in Rome. This is a contest launched by CEOforLife, a community that brings together CEOs and Presidents of Italian and multinational companies.

ENAV was awarded for its commitment to creating an inclusive organizational culture, aimed at promoting the psycho-physical well-being and mental health of its employees. In particular, the ENAV Group was awarded for a program aimed at preventing and mitigating the negative effects related to the stress of operating personnel.

CEO Paolo Simioni, speaking remotely, said: "I am really proud and grateful for this recognition that comes, of course, thanks to the people of the ENAV Group that I have the privilege of leading. Ours is a world where high technology, digitalization and the human factor come together to offer increasingly efficient services for the sustainability of air transport".

Speaking of ENAV's people, the CEO underlined the very high specialization of the operating staff, which guarantees safety and punctuality at all flights. The performance of air traffic controllers involves the continuous solicitation of cognitive and perceptual resources, decision-making skills subjected to a pressing timing with a constant alternation of stress phases inherent to the type of tasks performed.

"To better support our colleagues – continues Simioni – the Support Programme/CISM was born, a tool available to ENAV's operational staff to promote well-being and resistance to stress at 360°".

The objective of the SP / CISM is to meet the different needs of support, protection and information of operating staff, to help them face painful experiences or critical moments of their personal and working life, generating and facilitating Resistance-Resilience-Recovery.

The award was collected by Cesare Stefano Ranieri, Chief HR and Corporate Services Officer of the ENAV Group.
