ENAV attended the 7th edition of the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) Congress held at Cinquale Airport, Massa from 15 to 16 September 2017.

The Congress, organized every two years, has been an important meeting point for professionals and Organizations. In 2015 more than 1000 participants and local Authorities assessed the ”HEMS Congress” the largest national event dedicated to Helicopter Emergency Rescue Operations.

A special session dealt with the Night Flying experience in Italy and NVG (Night Vision Googles) technologies. On the international level, “Point in Space” procedures have been presented and  compared to ENAC norms; especially PBN (Performance-Based Navigation) helicopter procedures and routes design, which are revolutionizing speed and operational capacity of air rescue service, in case of scarce visibility.

ENAV’s activities for the Helicopter world, which are based on a well-established know-how acquired in the aeronautical sector, have also been presented at HEMS 2017.
Furthermore ENAV delegates introduced the case study - “PBN routes and procedures design: the Italian experience”.
Thanks to its long-standing experience, ENAV commercializes its Services and Solutions, worldwide.
