D-Flight attended DRONE Week Amsterdam 2019

The second edition of ADW took place at Amsterdam RAI Exhibition and Congress Centre from 4 to 6 December 2019. The Event was dedicated to UAS - Unmanned Aircraft Systems - industrial technologies.

Amsterdam Drone Week is the global platform where the UAS community meets for sharing knowledge on current air solutions, potential innovations and vital regulations. A top-level meeting point where more than 2,500 key players, big and small, commercial and non-commercial, from various industries, knowledge institutes and authorities, gather to co-create and co-operate. Several B2B meetings, workshops and seminars dealt with the humanitarian potential of UAS technology, Urban Air Mobility, Digital Infrastructures for the U-space/UTM and Mobility as a Service.
More than 200 speakers from leading international companies attended the 3-day exhibition and Conference; among others, companies like AirMap, SkyGrid, Uber Elevate, SwissPost, CANSO, Volocopter, Airbus, Thales and Boeing.
D-Flight’s participation in the international Event provided the opportunity to generate cost-effective networking opportunities and dissemination of information on the Company and its strategic and operational objectives to all ADW attendees.

The Company attended the Event with its own exhibiting space, hosting several business and strategic meetings and distinguished guests. D-Flight’s CEO, Cristiano Baldoni, presented a paper to the Conference panel with the title “Creating a reliable digital infrastructure and traffic management system: Integrated and digital airspace”.

D-Flight is the public-private company created by ENAV - the Italian Air Navigation service provider - in November 2018 to develop the U-space platform for the provision of services for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV), commonly called "drones". The Company is controlled by ENAV, with a 60% stake, with the remainder of the share capital held by a group of leading Italian technological partners.

D-Flight is the Italian industry's response to the challenge launched by the European Union. The U-space platform - developed by D-Flight - will allow the timely development and deployment of U-space, in order to safely and seamlessly integrate complex drones’ operations within the civil aviation airspace.
