MeDALE Project. In Rome the simulations tests.

Modeling and Simulation tests for simulations of the Medal project (Mediterranean ATM Live Exercise).

At the Centre of Excellence NATO in Rome, from 11 to 20 November are held Modeling and Simulation tests for simulations of the Medal project (Mediterranean ATM Live Exercise).

The project, sponsored by  SESAR (Single European Sky ATM Research), has as its main objective the integration of RPAS - Remotely Piloted Air System aircraft or unmanned - in airspace currently used by civilian flights.

The simulation involves directly the technology platform dedicated to the ENAV simulations, which integrates the simulators RPAS in Turin and Ronchi dei Legionari. The simulations are  managed in a real real time by the ENAV Air Traffic Controllers.

The MedALE project is managed by the Italian consortium that includes ENAV as a service provider for the air traffic control, Alenia Aermacchi, SELEX ES, Nimbus solutions RPAS and Thales Alenia Space Italy for Satellite Communications solutions.
