European Aviation Safety Agency, agency of the EU established in 2002 in charge of regulatory and executive activities in the field of air safety. The agency is responsible for the air safety and for all aspects related to the planning, production, maintenance and operations of aeronautical products and to the personnel and organizations of those involved in flight activities. Its ruling activities are developed through the writing of technical rules and related opinions. Most of the ruling for the field of civil aviation is developed within the Agency in which ENAV is directly involved by providing its expertise for the ATM-related matters.
