In its headquartes ENAV has installed a new technology, the TX series three-phase Intelligence, which “smartly” optimises power consumption in its offices.
Two networks manage the load for offices lighting and emergency lighting, optimising consumption and ensuring an overall saving of 25%.
Thanks to the dedicated perimeter lighting network of metal halide lamps, a 30% saving is achieved.

To power the canteen, i.e. ovens, electric plates, electric water boilers, refrigerators, freezer cells, water heater and all other electrical appliances in the kitchen, 2 systems that save about 15-16% of the consumption have been installed.
The whole infrastructure is networked to a controlling workstation, which polls the connected items to collect power consumption data, enables remote control of each phase of the systems and finally uses specific software to evaluate the efficiency attained as well as any anomalies.
Among the various tasks, every 15 minutes the system produces a database of summary information displayed on a 40” LED monitor, which informs the public and ENAV guests regarding the current initiative, and the results obtained. Thanks to this new technology, ENAV saves approximately 10,000 kWh/month, a total of 120,000 kWh/year.
