SIMULATION AND EXPERIMENTATION CENTRE

The simulation and experimentation centre (CSS) of ENAV S.p.A. carries out activities of Research and Development at a national and international level, providing support to the various Functions of the Operations Area in the phases of experimentation and pre-operational validation of new operational concepts, procedures and systems.

The centre takes advantage of the experience of a team of qualified engineers, technicians and air traffic controllers through whom the company participates actively in all of the phases of development of the CNS systems and the relative ATM procedures.

The CSS team has, furthermore, matured important experiences as well as simulation and experimentation capacities in all of the CNS/ATM sectors and works in collaboration with analogous European Research and Development Centres as: EUROCONTROL Experimental Centre Bretigny, CENA (France), NLR (Netherlands), DLR (Germany), with intergovernmental bodies and the most important industrial realities of the sector.
